Update: "Quick Case" | Faster Case Entry with Secure Auto-fill

Quick Case is a simplified case entry option with secure auto-fill, designed to help you capture essential patient information quickly and efficiently.

By taking a screenshot on your computer or a photo on your mobile, the system automatically populates the required fields, allowing you to save a case and send your preferred PROMS in seconds, without completing the full case form upfront.

Quick Case does not replace the standard “Add Case” workflow. It provides a faster, lower-friction alternative when time is limited, while still allowing you to return later and complete additional case details if desired.

Why We Built Quick Case

We understand that time spent entering case data competes with patient care and clinical responsibilities.

Many surgeons told us:

  • They want to send PROMS promptly.

  • They don’t always have time to complete every case field immediately.

  • Administrative burden can delay data entry.

Quick Case was developed to reduce friction and make it easier to:

  • Capture cases in real time

  • Send PROMS without delay

  • Return later to complete additional details if desired

How Quick Case Works

  1. Click the “Quick Case” button on your dashboard.

  2. Upload a screen capture or take a photo (mobile or webcam) of patient information.

  3. The system will auto-populate the required fields.

  4. Review and confirm the information.

  5. Choose to:

    • Save and schedule PROMS (if applicable).

    • Continue adding additional case details if you wish.

  6. Return to the case now marked as “To be completed” in your case list at any time and finalise remaining fields.

Minimum Required Information

To save a case or send PROMS, the following fields are required:

  • Patient Identifier

  • Date of Birth

  • Surgical Procedure

  • Location

  • Date of Procedure

All other fields are optional and can be completed later. You will see all your Quick Case entries marked with “To be completed” within your case list.

Can I Still Enter Full Case Details?

Yes.

The standard “Add Case” button remains unchanged and allows you to enter comprehensive case data.

Quick Case simply provides a faster entry pathway. You can:

  • Continue to add further details about the procedure after you've entered a quick case.

  • From your table of cases, you can edit and expand cases at a later date.

No data fields have been removed.

Security & Data Privacy

All uploaded images and data are encrypted and processed securely within the SurgicalPerformance platform. Quick Case follows the same data protection standards as all other case entries.

We use Google Gemini to process Quick Case images.

Data Privacy: Data is not used to train models and is not saved/logged

Data Isolation: Prompts and responses remain within the defined SurgicalPerformance project.

Compliance: Services comply with enterprise-grade standards including SOC 1/2/3, ISO 27001, and HIPAA

When to Use Quick Case

Quick Case is particularly useful when:

  • You are between consults and need to enter a case quickly.

  • You want to ensure PROMS are sent promptly.

  • You are entering a case right there in theatre.

  • You prefer to capture minimum viable data first and complete details later.
